Light of Christ Council 8726

There will be a Third Degree Exemplification Ceremony at St. Ignatius School Hall on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 1:00pm. Degree ceremonies are for members only.

There will be a Second Degree Exemplification on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 7:00pm at St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Exeter. Degree ceremonies are for members only.

This event is your council’s biggest fund-raiser and requires quite a bit of help. We’ll meet on Saturday, December 15 at 8:00am in the school hall to setup tables and chairs, prep food, and setup all equipment and supplies.

On Sunday, December 16 at 6:00am we’ll start with the cooking and finish all prep work. Breakfast starts at 8:00am and this breakfast is traditionally busy from start to finish. We’ll be pressed to keep tables bussed, dishes washed, and silverware cleaned. At the end of the breakfast (12:00pm) all the clean-up work begins.

Please consider helping in any way you can. A couple of hours would go a long way towards helping your council and your brother Knights. Thank you.

Supporting the Salvation Army’s Kettle Campaign is a great way to kick off the Christmas Season. Members of the Light of Christ Council will be at the Boscov’s entrance inside the Berkshire Mall all day Friday, December 7 and all day Saturday, December 8. Stop out to support your brother Knights and to make a donation to this very worthy cause.

Join your brother Knights in helping to bring some holiday magic to the students at the John Paul II Center for Special Learning in Shillington. In addition to preparing and serving a hearty breakfast, we’ll be bringing Santa Claus to the students who always appreciate our efforts.

The Light of Christ Council will host a First Degree Exemplification ceremony for new members on Monday, December 3, 2018. This special event will begin at 7:30pm and candidates are asked to arrive by 7:00pm. This event will take place in the meeting rooms in the St. Ignatius Parish Education Center. Candidates MUST contact their Financial Secretaries and/or Grand Knights to confirm their attendance and to coordinate all application information.

The Light of Christ Council will host its annual Keep Christ in Christmas Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, December 1, 2018 immediately following the 4:00pm Mass. The Christmas Story will be presented by volunteers from 7th Grade, and entertainment will be provided by the Dove Dance Ministry of St. Ignatius Church. Proceeds from a Free Will Donation and Raffle will benefit local charities and Parish ministries.
