About The Light of Christ Council
The Light of Christ Council is headquartered at St. Ignatius Loyola Church in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania.
Council meetings are held on the 2nd and the 4th Mondays of each month at 7:00pm. General Council meetings take place during the first meeting of the month while officers’ planning meetings take place during the second meeting of each month. The majority of the meetings are held in the meeting rooms at the Parish Education Center on St. Alban’s Drive.
The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with 1.9 million members. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, their families, and young people all over the world.
The Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, in New Haven, CT. The Order’s international headquarters is still located in New Haven today.
