4/26/2021 Council Meeting

The next Council meeting will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 in the Chapel at St. Ignatius Loyola Church beginning at 7:00pm. This meeting will also be broadcast via Zoom. All members who have provided e-mail addresses will receive an invitation to the Zoom meeting prior to the meeting.

Crab Cake Pickup

Thank you for supporting our Council through your purchase of crab cakes. The pickup date is Friday, March 26 at the school’s garage entrance on St. Alban’s Drive. Pickup will take place between 3:00pm and 6:00pm.

Knights of the Month

Congratulations to Father Tom Bortz, Ron Ryder, and Rod Baumert who were named Knights of the Month for November 2020, December 2020, and January 2021. These Brother Knights exemplify Charity, Unity, and Fraternity throughout their daily lives and we recognize and thank them at this time. Each will receive a certificate attesting to this recognition.

Installation of Officers

The Light of Christ Council of the Knights of Columbus will hold its annual Installation of Officers on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 7:00pm in the Chapel at St. Ignatius Loyola Church. Social distancing guidelines will be followed and masks are required. This meeting will also be broadcast via zoom.

Multi-media Council Meeting

We will hold a multi-media council meeting on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 7:00pm giving you the option of joining us in person or via zoom. In person attendees will meet in the Chapel and observe social distancing guidelines and wear masks while zoom attendees may join from the comfort of their own homes. A zoom invitation has been sent to council members with necessary log-in information.

The next meeting will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 7:00pm with more information being provided before that date.

First Annual Golf Tournament Raised $9,500 for the School

Grand Knight Dan Wozniak (right) presents a check for $9,500 to Carolyn Wood, school principal representing the proceeds from the Light of Christ Council’s First Annual Golf Tournament in support of the St. Ignatius Loyola School Scholarship Fund. Father Tom Bortz assisted with the presentation. Many thanks to all who helped plan, participate, volunteers, and pray for the success of our event.

Thank You for your support

On behalf of the entire membership, the Officers of the Light of Christ Council wish to thank you for your support throughout the year. Our programs were cut short this Spring due to the COVID-19 situation and we had to cancel a number of planned events. We are currently planning some alternative programs for the remainder of 2020 so check back often as schedules, plans, and programs remain fluid at this time. We appreciate your understanding.

June 2020 Family of the Month

Congratulations to Brian and Jamie Sauselen on their selection as Family of the Month for June 2020. Brian and Jamie and their family are very active members of our parish. Brian is a member of the Light of Christ Council.

March Breakfast CANCELLED

Our March Family Breakfast scheduled for March 15 has been CANCELLED due to concerns about Coronavirus. Thank you for your support throughout the year. Our next Family Breakfast will be in September.
